Recommend.ly is now integrated into the Facebook application canvas and uses the Facebook app notification system, creating a smoother user experience.

Creating a successful Page requires regular care to keep the Page active and filled with content. As a highly visible forum and advertising platform for your brand, your Facebook Page should become  a part of your daily routine. The best way to do this is to integrate Page management into your daily workflow and make it as seamless and painless as possible.

To that end, we’ve integrated Recommend.ly into Facebook’s application canvas i.e. running Recommend.ly as an app on Facebook. Now you can perform actions based on your customized recommendations from within Facebook.

To make use of this additional functionality, you need to simply visit the Recommend.ly app page – apps.facebook.com/recommendly. If you want improved notifications, you may need to provide more permissions.

Notifications

Because we’re using Facebook’s own framework, you’ll now receive alerts using Facebook’s own notification system. The notifications will complement the Daily Agenda.

Coming up

We’re toying with the idea of a mobile app for those of you on-the-go, and we’re evaluating content suggestion systems to help you create relevant content for your audience. Currently, integrating the tool into Facebook’s architecture is only the first step in improving your Recommend.ly experience. We’ll be redesigning aspects of the tool to improve the flow, and update it to reflect your requirements.
